Hello! I'm Dr. Hans.

I am a proud Ghanaian, a husband, a father and a mentor to many. I have dedicated my life to helping people build wealth.

I was born in Ghana, West Africa. My parents wanted their children to have opportunities they did not have, so when I was young they moved our family to America. We landed in the Bronx. We could not afford a place of our own so we rented a room from another family in their two bedroom apartment. That is where life in America began.

Everyone around me said the same thing. Go to school. Get a good job. Work hard. That is how you become successful in America.

So I did exactly that.

I earned my Doctor of Pharmacy from St. John Fisher University and went on to complete my MBA with a Path of Distinction from William and Mary. I built a six figure career as a clinical pharmacist. On paper I had done everything right.

But something did not add up.

I looked around my community and saw that many of us had followed the same path. We had the degrees, the jobs and decent salaries, yet nobody was building real wealth. Nobody was even talking about how wealth is created.

I was one of them. I had the degree and the income but I was still completely dependent on my next paycheck. Every month I was pulled in many directions. Rent. Student loans. Bills. Supporting my family. Sending money back home to loved ones who were counting on me. If my paycheck stopped for any reason everything I was building would stop with it. I was earning more than ever and still did not feel any closer to real wealth.

Then a mentor told me to buy a book called Rich Dad Poor Dad.

That book changed my life. It inspired me to read over 500 books on investing and personal finance. I studied more than 50,000 financial articles. I learned from mentors, senior executives and some of the greatest investors of our time. 

Then I felt a calling I could not ignore. God placed it on my heart to reach back into my community and give people the financial education that nobody ever gave us.

That is why I created The Investing Tutor.
